“Today, on the side of the mountain, with his pen and journal full of parchment paper, Iz wrote down his thoughts. He knew without a doubt what he was called to do.”

Into the Canyon
Somewhere in the midst of a beautiful and serene mountain valley resides a community of ranchers and farmers. Generation after generation, families support and rely on one another as troubling times whistle through the mountainsides. The Kammer family is no exception—though, there are always a few who blow in with the breeze.
Into the Canyon follows Izrael Kammer, a high school senior who resides on his family’s ranch in the valley. The family of seven’s simple way of life is disrupted when a girl moves into the area and takes a liking to Izrael—but she is quick to betray his trust and disrupt the peace of the valley. While lies threaten his future, family secrets reveal themselves, and Izrael fights to break the curse that began with his grandfather. With his family and friends steady by his side, Izrael searches for a way to clear his name and move toward the future waiting for him after graduation.

Way of the Canyon
Long-buried secrets are about to threaten the Kammer family’s quiet life on their mountain ranch. Izrael Shane Kammer, now a grown man, must navigate the weight of family mysteries while battling his own shadows from the past. Way of the Canyon draws readers back to rugged mountain beauty, where secrets lie as deep as the valleys. As new faces appear and old questions resurface, Izrael finds himself caught between protecting his loved ones and uncovering the truth—no matter the cost. With every twist, the peaceful ranch life Izrael longs for slips further away, leaving him to face the decisions that could change everything.
In this gripping second book of the Kammer family series, the journey through heartbreak, loyalty, and redemption continues, barreling toward more shocking discoveries. Will Izrael keep his family’s secrets hidden, or will the truth bring everything to light?

I am passionate about writing, mountains and my family. Spending half of my growing up years at the family ranch where my father was raised helped shape me into who I am now. I love to hike and explore these mountains. I also enjoy riding my bicycle, dance and yoga. I start my day with God and cannot imagine living life without Him leading my every step.
The family ranch, where my father was born and raised, remains in the family and inspired me to put my passion into writing this book.
“Into the Canyon is a lovely first novel! It truly captures the importance of family, faith and deep connection to the land. The story keeps you engaged and caring about the characters. The mountain valley is richly and beautifully described and becomes an additional character in the story; I could imagine how it felt during the harsh winter storms and the blossoming spring. The story kept me guessing until the end. Well done, Victoria!”
