My Characters
For the next few months I will be focusing my blogs on characters from my books, Into the Canyon, and Way of the Canyon. Because they are part of a trilogy, I continue with the same characters, although I do have a few new to introduce in Way of the Canyon. (I cannot wait for you to find out more about them.)
In the meantime, I am sharing, here, about one of my favorite characters, Suzanah Grace Klein Kammer, the momma of the Kammer family. As her personality developed, I found myself blending my grandmothers, my mother and myself into Suzanah. The common thread is how much she loves her family.
Suzanah is strong and confident. She has a deep faith in God, and she shows it through her words and actions daily while managing everything that goes with being a wife and mother on a busy active working ranch. Suzanah considers her work to be important, never underestimating its’ worth. She not only strives to keep her family nourished and healthy, but she seeks ways to help others in the community who are less fortunate than she and her family.
Suzanah is famous in the mountain valley, for her home-made biscuits. Somehow, she makes them not only delicious, but pretty to look at, with a delicate curl at the top of the biscuit. The curl appears fragile, as it is part of the thin flakier part of a biscuit. In taking a bite, Suzanah’s family tries to not let the tip fall off, almost finding it bad luck to drop the curl.
Suzanah puts joy into everything she does, showing love and contentment in life on a daily basis. Come, join the journey of getting to know Suzanah Grace Klein Kammer better, one book at a time.
Way of the Canyon to release very soon, followed by the third book of the trilogy closer to the end of 2025.
