My Love of Hats

It’s the first Saturday in May and we just watched the Kentucky Derby on the television. Besides watching the amazing and beautiful horses, I love seeing all the hats! It is the same level of gorgeous hats as in watching royal weddings. They totally entertain me to watch but wearing them is even better!

I have always loved wearing hats. I used to limit it to Easter or for being outdoors in the sun, or a warm hat in the winter. These days I wear a hat most weekends and any and every time I can.

I guess I could say I am obsessed, and hats are now my trademark. I always wear a hat for book signings. That is my favorite place to sport a hat. It just fits (no pun intended). My goal is usually for the hat to be my pop of color.

I have several hats now which makes it somewhat of a collection. Will I buy more? Yes, without a doubt I will! There are several colors out there that I don’t own yet, and I can’t wait to find them! I also hope to attend the Kentucky Derby one day, as a spectator with a spectacular hat!
