Escapes

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us” ~ Unknown

Lately I have been craving the ocean; to sit on a beach, pressing my toes into the warm sand while I watch and listen to the waves crashing into each other. It is a renewing kind of escape, one that clears the mind and cleanses the soul.

These kinds of escapes are essential to our well-being. It is imperative to take time for an escape. Even if it is simply a quick day trip to a favorite spot for a picnic, or window shopping downtown, sitting on a park bench, whatever “escape” means for you, take time for it.

However, and ultimately, there is nothing like traveling and truly escaping the day-to-day routine.

What is your favorite escape? I’d love to know!
