My Experience Part IV - Writing Acknowledgments
I expected writing acknowledgments would take a lot of thought and time. The first time I attempted to work on this in my first novel, I realized how very important it would be to me.
First of all, I had deep and true feelings for the people I wanted to acknowledge. They each put something into my project whether they realized it or not. Each person had a part in helping make my dream of publishing a book come to reality. How could I put my words together to express how much each person meant to me? I tried several times. I struggled to get the words to make sense.
Finally, one day, I sat down to work on it. The words flowed. My heart was open and ready to express my thoughts for each one who had contributed to making the book come together. It turned out to be another amazing part of writing the book overall. I was excited to brag about my family! It gave me the opportunity to let them each know how much I appreciate them. I look forward to doing this in book 2, and I wonder how it will flow.
