Revisited

“Revisited” is the name of our son, Chris Baker’s newest CD that released this month! It’s awesome! I can say that because I’m his mom, yes. But it truly is a work of art! I have had opportunities to work with him on writing songs. It is always an amazing experience, but he blows my mind on how he writes not just the words but the music too! He’s a legit composer. 

This new album is named Revisted, in honor of re-writing a few of his early originals. He also threw in some new songs. 15 songs on this CD! I cannot say enough about how good it is. 

He features a few vocal artists on a few songs which makes it fun. I even added a bit of my voice to “Holman is Home” which is an early original song I helped write. A little more history about that; one day Chris asked me to write a poem about our family ranch in northern NM we call Holman. So I did. He changed a few things and sent it back to me. I changed some of his changes and sent it back to him. Then we settled and “Holman is Home” was born. It was a magical experience to be a part of a song with my talented son. 

I have to add he doesn’t like that word, “talented.” He works hard and he believes what comes from hard work is a good result. Well, the result of this album is beyond good. This Momma is proud beyond words. I struggle on how to describe it. It’s a deep, deep feeling and it feels very good.
