Fall Teas
Some of my most favorite tea is seasonal, during autumn. I love the pumpkin and apple flavors that mix so well with the black and herbal teas. Cool afternoons in the Fall gives me cravings for a warm cup of comfort.
I have a mix I like to call my “healthy tea” that has wonderful herbs such as chamomile, lavender, sage, ginger and ashwagandha which I recently added and is best known for relieving stress and anxiety.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to try making my own cup of Matcha tea. I have ordered it in tea and coffee shops but had never tried to mix my own. My first attempt was “okay,” and it has gradually gotten a little better. I went back to one of my favorite tea shops and picked up the matcha whisk and spoon, in an effort to improve on my Matcha tea making skills. Adding honey, or a lavender sugar I found while shopping gives it just enough sweetness. I am also practicing my latte skills with the Matcha tea using Oat Milk as my dairy substitute.
Tea is just fun to experiment with. What is your favorite tea?
